Week 1, Day 1, Mandy

Okay, I can't believe I am blogging about losing weight. When Jenny first had the idea about making a blog, I admit I was scared to death and somewhat reluctant! But, something told me that it would work. I can honestly say even though I am scared, I am excited. I have wanted to lose weight for a long long time and just couldn't. Not only am I wanting to lose weight because of my appearance but also because of health reasons. I am to young to be on blood pressure medicine and cholesterol medicine. This used to be about looking good but now its more about being healthy. I am hoping by putting this out for everyone to see, that I stay motivated and am successful this go around. So here we go!!!

I survived Day 1! It was actually very easy. I was busy most of the day helping out at my daughter's school and then we were busy all afternoon and evening.

Here is what I ate:

Breakfast: 2 cups of coffee with cream and sugar
Lunch: Salad with a modest amount of ranch dressing. I did put a small serving of cheddar cheese on the salad and a few slices of a boiled egg. Also, had about a 1/4 cup of pineapples, and 1/4 of noodle salad.
Dinner: fist size chicken breast, black-eyed peas, and green peas
Snack: chocolate chip granola bar.

I didn't exercise but I talked to a few people about what I needed to start doing like walking, etc. I need to get a plan down for that. I will work on that this weekend and hopefully start next week.

Also, way to go Jenny! I am proud of you. We can do this girl! Love you and thanks for encouraging me to do this!
